In this workshop for teachers and musicteachers, you experience how to improve singing with children in a fun and creative way, using vocalpainting and other musical tools. The co-creative classroom concept is inspired by Jim Daus Hnjernøe and Peder Karlsson.

Coaching from Mathieu
Mathieu already did many coachings ‘on demand’ for choirs. There are great possibilities. Mathieu will create a nice workflow, together with the conductor, or otherwise. Get some Kuchesa (sing, dance, play) in the room!

Rhythmical Choir Conducting
As a rhythmical choir conductor I like many styles, pop, rock, latin. I arrange for choir in this styles. What makes my heart beat even faster are great vocal jazz arrangements from great arrangers such as Gene Puerlin, Kirby Shaw, Steve Zegree, Michele Weir, Darmon Meader and many others.
Jazzmatazz is a vocal jazz ensemble, which I started at Artez conservatory. We sing rhythmical vocal music, mainly vocal jazz, based on jazz standards and of course mixed with other styles.
Trending news! I am the brandnew conductor of vocal group Flevox. Very nice singers with a talent of creating a great musical athmosphere while performing.
I love to inspire children and students in singing and making music together. I started teaching music, when I was 18 years old at the local brassband and felt the joy of my pupils slowly mastering the skills on their instruments.
With vocal music your instrument is in your body! Mastering this beautiful ‘instrument’ is so very rewarding!

Here is a song I wrote (in Dutch) for the inauguration of our Dutch king. You can see the sheetmusic.
I consider myself a soloist in playing in the jazzband or improvising on my flugelhorn. My scat-singing is often related to improvising on this beautiful mellow instrument. Later I discovered singing in the jazzchoir was a great opportunity to be ‘equal’ as a singer in the group. Here I improved as a musician.
